In April, Take One Sportswear officially launched its inaugural Football Roam Series, a bold new platform built to elevate elite youth football talent and the culture that fuels them. Fast, fearless, and unapologetically athlete-driven, the series marked a defining moment in the evolution of football apparel, identity, and opportunity.
This wasn’t just a rollout—it was a mission in motion.
The series brought together a generational crop of underclassmen already dominating headlines and redefining the future of the game. Leading the charge was Jireh Edwards, a five-star safety from national powerhouse St. Francis Academy. Recently named the No. 1 safety in the Class of 2026, Edwards anchored the field this past season with elite instincts, explosive range, and vocal leadership. Every snap reminded offenses there was a shark in the water. As he enters his senior campaign, he’s not just chasing greatness—he’s looking to cement his legacy as the nation’s top defensive back.
Off the edge, Carter Meadows (Class of 2026) showed why he’s the No. 1 player in Washington, D.C this past season. The Gonzaga College High School edge rusher put together a season showing off raw power, precision timing, and a relentless motor. Meadows didn’t just make plays—he imposed his will. With a WCAC championship in his sights, he's on a mission to lead Gonzaga to the top.
Representing the underclassmen was Raylaun Henry, a four-star cornerback and Top 30 national recruit in the Class of 2027. Suiting up for St. Francis Academy, Henry flashed elite anticipation, lockdown coverage, and next-level football IQ throughout the series. When the lights come on, he turns them up. Entering his junior season, he’s ready to show the country why he’s one of the most highly regarded prospects in his class.
In the trenches, Carter Scruggs put together a dominant junior campaign on the offensive line—one that earned him national recognition and a commitment to Clemson. But before he takes his talents to South Carolina, he has unfinished business: bringing a championship to Loudoun County. At 6’6”, with elite size, refined technique, and undeniable power, Scruggs anchored the line all season long. Ranked as a Top 5 player in Virginia and the No. 8 offensive lineman in the country in 2026 class, he’s not chasing hype—he’s proving he’s built for the moment. Now entering his senior year, Scruggs is focused on finishing what he started.
“We’re not here to follow the blueprint—we’re here to rewrite it. The Roam Series is about more than showcasing talent. It’s about giving these athletes the experience and tools they need from day one to be successful, so they’re prepared well before they even get to the next level,” said Kendric Hawkins, Head of Football at Take One Sportswear. “We’re building a pipeline that doesn’t wait for the next level to validate greatness. These kids are stars right now—and our job is to make sure they’re ready for anything that comes their way.”
For Take One, the Football Roam Series is more than a launch. It’s a foundation. “We created Roam because athletes deserve more than just exposure—they deserve alignment,” said Adom Robinson, CEO of Take One Sportswear. “This is where talent meets real storytelling. The Roam Series isn’t just a platform. It’s a statement—and a new opportunity for athletes to be seen and heard.”
Following the success of Take One’s Basketball Roam Series, which concluded its second season in February, the expansion into football marks the next step in the brand’s mission: empowering student-athletes through custom performance apparel, creative content, and a athlete-first platform built for speed, connection, and legacy.
This is the new model. Powered by the athletes.
The Roam Series has officially arrived.
And this is just the beginning.
